Vitrine: Barak Zemer

April 23 – June 4, 2017

Vitrine: Barak Zemer features a selection of Los Angeles-based, Israeli artist Barak Zemer’s photo diaries made between 2004 and 2006. The hand-made books capture the artist’s life in Jerusalem as well as his travels to New York and Rome. Married to artist Roni Shenior, the diaries document the intimate and mundane moments in a shared life and highlight Zemer’s precise and striking early photographic compositions.

Barak Zemer (b. 1979, Jerusalem, Israel; lives in Los Angeles) received an MFA from Roski School of Fine Arts at The University of Southern California in 2013. His work has been exhibited at Ballroom Marfa in Marfa, Texas; JOAN, Los Angeles; and ltd Los Angeles, among others.
